Greyt Friends:
As this year quickly comes to a close and we
begin to focus on the New Year, your QCGA family would like to take
an opportunity to thank you for your support during 2007.
As many of you know, January offered up a
challenging situation in the way of the hauler accident just minutes
from our facility. We are proud to say that, as a result of the
relentless dedication of our volunteers and commitment of the
surrounding communities, we were able to save twenty-seven little
lives, three of which were retired early and made their way back to
our kennel in preparation of their adoption into their forever homes,
namely: Yellow Cab, Anytime, and Happy Feet. In September of this
year, Anytime was adopted by the founder of our organization,
Catherine Guy. Yellow Cab and Happy Feet are still residing at our
kennel, awaiting their opportunity for life-long happiness.

Since then, our volunteers have been busy
loving and caring for the fifty greys currently residing at our
facility. Although we are at full capacity, there are many other
greys waiting in the wings until we get our adoptions up and are able
to accommodate them. We need your word of mouth to raise awareness
and accomplish this goal!
In addition, in order to remain a viable
organization long into the future and continue assisting these greyt
souls on their journey from the track to their ultimate treasure (a
warm, loving family), we need your continued support.
In very candid terms, we are in desperate
need of more volunteers. Please check out our website for volunteer
hours and duties at www.qcgreyhoundadoption.com
In addition, not unlike other non-profits, we
rely solely
on the generous donations of our extended QCGA family to continue to
help cover our expenses. Our adoption fee is $250, but barely….and
more often, rarely,
covers the expense of the spay/neuter with dental and updated shots.
Our building payment is $725.95 per month and utilities can run
anywhere from $300 - $600 per month, weather-dependent. In addition,
there are maintenance expenses, insurance, trash pick-up, phone
service, cleaning products, office supplies, and the list goes on. We
need you! No amount of money or time
is too little!
Before concluding, we would like to showcase
our most senior veteran at the kennel. Below is a picture of Pride.
Pride has been at our kennel for a great length of time and is so
deserving of a home to call his own.

Once again, thank you for your continued
support. You have extended us the resources over the past ten years
to change the lives of these mighty, stoic beings!
Please consider bequeathing a gift to allow us
to make 2008 “The Year of the Greyt!”
Thank you in advance, for your consideration.
May God richly bless you in the coming year. – QCGA Board
